30 wonderful years, two fantastic kids and alot of work later, we've decided it's time to take an extended break and travel. There will be three phases to the time off - skiing in the Rockies, Europe by campervan and downtime on the farm. This blog is intended to keep family and friends informed as to our whereabouts in case they want to travel vicariously with us. Hasta la vista!

landed in Germany after great visit with David, Yvonne, Marion and Ricky in London, also took in the Tate Gallery. These German keyboards are different and enough to drive me mad(der). Munich is a surprisingly picturesque place. Did the bus tour to take in the sites. Barb is still wondering why Peter did not build a castle when Graham was born. Stayed in very nice hotel recommended by Mark J. Dinner in Ratskellar - not a rat cellar but a basement restaurant that is very big place here right in the main square here.
Off to get the camper now and into the Romantische Strasse. As the guy at the tourist info place said - Germany is known for industry, not tourism, but it,s a hidden gem. We hope.

Maybe you should break the trend and build your first DAUGHTER a castle... If you start it now, I won't complain. ;) Please post a pic of your van when you get it! xoxoxo
